Faithful Supporters of the Mission

    This is the believers sole purpose for existence, and mission in Life.  It is the absolute focus of all genuine disciples to minister good to others for the saving of their soul.  All that they are, and all that they own is devoted to the fulfillment of the great commission.  All, does mean all!  All of their time, talents, efforts, possessions, and money are used unselfishly for the saving of souls in a lost world.  Other than a godly character, redeemed souls for whom we have labored, is the only treasure we will take from this world into the earth made new.

     In Christendom as a whole, efforts and money are misdirected from there primary purpose.  Millions upon millions of dollars, and untold efforts, are spent on channeling resources into  the building of great expensive church buildings. Also on making and keeping the ministers rich.  These worldly rich ministers teach the people to aspire after money and possessions which they declare are the blessings due to them as God's children.  What could be a clearer opposite from the life style of the Master, we say we follow, who had not where to lay His head.

    Self denial and self sacrifice in totality is the example and pattern the Master left us to follow.  Remember, all who refuse to live the life of Christ will not benefit from the death of Christ and the eternal rewards.  All who save up treasure in heaven will go there to receive their eternal exhaustless reward.  But all who selfishly gather to themselves earthly treasures, and refuse to live self denial and self-sacrifice will receive the reward of eternal destruction.

     The primary recipient of all our efforts and talents for Christ's sake is lost souls, not church buildings and professed ministers.  The primary storehouse for our money is the work that genuinely spreads the gospel to every nation, kindred, tongue and people.  Our home, apartment, or room, ought to be a place of Bible study and worship.  Thus my home becomes God's instrument to accomplish heaven's mission.  Where ever I work, I must realize my first duty on my job is to God for the saving of souls.  Thus I share my Jesus with all I come in contact with all the day every day.  Further the money that I earn on my job is completely devoted to the accomplishment of the gospel commission.  When I pay my house note, car note, bills and support my family, I am but doing the direct work of God because all these concerns are fully devoted to the cause.  I grow daily in practicing (not just professing) selflessness, which is self denial and self-sacrifice for the saving of humanity.  More and more and more of my wages earned are used or donated to the spread of the saving gospel.  All of my talents are used this way, and all of my possessions are purchased to be used in ministering to other for their salvation.  This is true Biblical Christlike discipleship.

     God says in II Cor 9:7 "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."  When we stop to consider that God in the flesh gave up the riches of heaven, and His own life also, we out of love for and appreciation of Him, find nothing is too much to give for the cause, even our very life.  Our Christianity must be more than talk and bold profession.  Our lives must be Christlike in our living and habits.  Christ's words are to be a description of our daily, 24 hours a day 7 days a week lifestyle.  Christ declared in Matt 20:24-28, "And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant; even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many."
